I have developed an escape room game fully utilizing Krpano and JavaScript. This project highlights the graphic programming capabilities of these tools, extending their use beyond traditional 360 images and 3D applications. The aim is to showcase the varied functionalities and creative potential achievable with this technology blend.
Currently available in Catalan, the game unfolds the story of a trainee agent from a government organization needing to infiltrate a clandestine group named URKO. The challenge begins when the agent accidentally gets locked in a room while investigating. To escape, the player must find clues and solve mini-games within 45 minutes. The game's atmosphere is enriched with elements from heavy metal music and Catalan literature, offering a culturally immersive experience.
The game is distinguished by its high level of interactivity and various mini-games. These include challenges like lockpicking, computer hacking, and using an interactive Caesar cipher wheel. It also features elements like a TV that can be operated with a remote control and a lock with buttons, contributing to a dynamic and immersive gameplay experience.
I have implemented an inventory system and object viewer, along with a mouse-based navigation method to interact with the environment. The game is based on a 360-degree panoramic view of a room, with carefully designed interactive elements such as lights, cushions, and drawers, which players can use to progress through the adventure.
